On Sunday, June 29, 2008 Catherine Greisinger’s father, Gary, will be speaking at the monthly The Compassionate Friends, Inc. meeting at Bower Hill Community Church, Mt. Lebanon, PA. Gary was asked to speak and explain what losing a child is like from a father’s point of view since Father’s Day is celebrated in June. The Compassionate Friends Inc. is a support group for anyone who has lost a daughter or son, no matter what age they died or how it happened.
Please join us at noon on May 17, 2008 at Homewood Cemetery at the pond, which is located at 1599 S Dallas Ave in Squirrel Hill.
We will honor the fifth anniversary of the death of Catherine Helen Greisinger, daughter of Gary & Cathy. Anyone mourning the loss of a son or daughter are welcomed to join us especially friends and families who lost veteran children due to the wars.
If you’re planning to attend, please call Gary Greisinger at 412-583-8560 with your child’s name, which will be mentioned at the ceremony. Gary will also be restocking the pond with over 900 goldfish and releasing doves to honor life and beauty.

“When Cathy G Charities drops off the many different items to the shelters the kids only get what we give them. They never get to choose anything for themselves, until now.
Cathy G Charities is now taking a new direction by taking the kids to shoe stores throughout the area to pick their own Christmas shoes. We did our first outing December 2, 2006 at Payless Shoesource in the South Side. It made me feel great to be able to do this, and we will continue to provide shoes as long as the funds are available. When each child had their own pair of shoes they gathered together and thanked me. I told the children that what was done for them today, maybe someday one of you here will be in the position to do it for someone else. Merry Christmas from Cathy G Charities.”
We’re calling this Cathy G’s Christmas Shoes.
Love,
Gary G
